Rebecca brings over a decade of experience in higher education leadership with significant work in program management, supervision, and advising. Prior to joining SANS, Rebecca oversaw enrollment and retention programs for military-connected students at the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
Rebecca earned her Master's of Education in Counseling and Student Affairs Leadership from Youngstown State University and undergraduate degree in International Relations from Kent State University. Rebecca currently resides in Missouri, and enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and gardening in her spare time.
Betty Deeb

Betty brings more than 10 years' experience working in higher education to the SANS Technology Institute. While her primary role has been academic advising, she has worked in many functions of the college environment including financial aid, registrar's office, new student orientation, adjunct faculty, and graduation services. Betty is also a veteran of the United States Air Force, who was stationed in England and Montana during her time with the military.
Betty has a Master of Business Administration in Human Resources from Liberty University and a Master of Education in Adult Education from Park University. She currently resides near Cleveland, Ohio with her husband and two children. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her family and exploring the outdoors, hiking, fishing, and camping.
Delisha Hodo

In her more than 7 years of experience in college advising, Delisha has held a
number of roles, primarily in college advising but also in recruitment
and digital marketing. In her most recent role at College Advising
Corps, she advised students nationwide, co-lead her team's Professional
Development committee, and assisted with the recruitment and hiring of
future advisors.
Delisha holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern
University. She is an avid sports fan faithfully cheering on her Georgia
Bulldogs and in her spare time enjoys traveling, writing poetry, and
spending time with family in Manchester, Georgia.
Anne Jozwik

Anne graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Fontbonne University. Anne worked in the social services field for 4 years and has worked in Education for 6 years. In her most recent position at the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Anne successfully helped build countless programs, serve as an advisor to students and served on the Student Success Taskforce.
Anne lives in St. Louis, MO and is married to Greg. Together, they have one son, Rex. In her spare time, Anne enjoys running, hiking, gardening and reading.
Terrie Fox

Terrie has over fifteen years of experience working in higher education. She enjoys helping students achieve their educational goals and knows how impactful education can be in someone's life. Terrie has her undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University in Sociology. She also earned another bachelor’s degree in Project Management, along with her Master of Science in Management in Organizational Leadership and Change from Colorado Technical University. Terrie currently resides in the suburbs of Chicago, but she was born and raised in Florida and loves being near the ocean.
Jessica Houston

Jessica has spent more than a decade of her career in higher education. Prior to joining the SANS team, she served in Admissions, College Access Programs (TRIO), and Academic Advisement at a local university. During her years in advisement, she served students across multiple disciplines from Mathematics and Computing to Business to Natural and Social Sciences.
Jessica currently resides in Northeast Tennessee with her husband, twin boys, and one fur-baby. In her spare time, she can be found playing with her children, cleaning up after her children, and enjoying time with family.
Leah Jenkins

Leah graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts in English Literature with a Licensure in Adolescent Young Adult Education for Integrated Language Arts from John Carroll University in 2013. After graduating, she worked as a Professional Tutor for John Carroll University's Services for Students with Disabilities Office providing writing instruction and support for students registered with the office. In addition to serving as a student advisor at the SANS Technology Institute, Leah reviews student papers and assignments to support the development of SANS.edu students' writing skills.
Krystal Lang

Krystal resides in St. Louis, Missouri with her husband, 8-year old daughter, 2 labradors, and 3 cats. In her spare time, enjoys traveling, reading, and volunteering in her community. She has been to almost all 50 states and hopes to have visited them all by the end of next year, watch out North Dakota! She grew up in a small-town family lumberyard and is a part owner to this day.
Susan Northern

Before joining the SANS Technology Institute, Susan served as a professional academic advisor at East Tennessee State University for students majoring in Criminal Justice, Political Science, International Affairs, History, and Philosophy. While obtaining her Master of Arts in Counseling (Higher Education concentration), she worked at Northeast State Community College as an Adult Learner Transition Counselor for the Job Ready, Willing, and Able Initiative. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Psychology. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, and reading.
Hannah Setters

Hannah holds a Master of Education in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University, a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Sports Management from Defiance College and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Ohio Wesleyan University. Before joining SANS, Hannah spent four years at Ohio Northern University advising engineering and computer science students on academic probation, oversaw ONU's College of Engineering's Peer Mentorship Program, and managed an institutional grant that promoted the entrepreneurial mindset in college graduates so they could create personal, economic and societal value through meaningful work.
She currently resides in Findlay, Ohio with her husband Alex, son Oliver, and fur babies Bucky (corgi) and Junie (cat). In her spare time, Hannah enjoys spending time with family, traveling, coaching volleyball, cooking and baking.
Brittany Sherman

Brittany has over five years of experience working in the higher education field. While obtaining her bachelor of arts at Fairmont State University, Brittany worked in various roles within the Office of Residence Life. Since then, she has served at several institutions and has held roles as an Academic Advisor and a Career Services Advisor. While serving at American Public University System, Brittany advised students within the School of Security and Global Studies.
Brittany currently resides in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia with her cat (Super)Nova. In her spare time, Brittany enjoys reading, walking in nature, and playing video games. She also enjoys all kinds of creative arts like painting, candle making, and papercraft.
Megan Steed

Megan has over seven years of experience with advising students in higher education. Prior to joining SANS, she worked as an academic advisor at both the University of Tennessee Knoxville and most recently at the University of Louisville. While completing her graduate education, she worked as a career counselor at the University of Louisville for exploratory and undecided students.
She currently resides in Louisville, KY with her cat (Comet). Outside of work, she enjoys practicing vinyasa yoga, riding her bike, and completing house projects.
NaKeisha Talley

NaKeisha (Keisha) Talley has over a decade in higher education experience in both undergraduate admissions and academic advising. Before joining SANS.edu, Keisha spent two and a half years at East Tennessee State University advising students in competitive entry healthcare programs and before that advising for such majors as criminal justice and the humanities. During her time at ETSU, she also created two student retention/outreach programs, Telebucs and Diplomats. Keisha received an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources from King University and holds a bachelor's degree in Administration of Justice from a small branch college of The University of Virginia. Keisha currently resides in Northeast Tennessee where she lives with her daughter. She enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Tom Vanderhorst

Tom Vanderhorst has experience in operations, education, and leadership in a variety of environments including military, non-profit, and academic organizations. As Director of Academic Affairs, he leverages his breadth of experience in support of the student population to successfully complete their academic programs and be prepared for entry into and advancement in their cybersecurity careers.
After graduating from the US Naval Academy, Tom served as a Marine officer for seven years, during which time he managed unit training, operations, and logistics, deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, and served on the staff of the US Naval Academy as the Director of Operations for Navy Football. After stepping away from the military, he partnered in consulting efforts that focused on the development and implementation of infrastructure protection strategies for clients in both the public and private sectors. Then, as Director of Operations for the National Board of Information Security Examiners (NBISE), he supported the advancement of the information security workforce through managing engagements with experts to identify the ground truth needs for the assessment and development of examinations and certifications. In his role prior to joining the SANS Technology Institute, Tom enjoyed serving his local community and broadening his understanding of education through teaching and coaching at Teton High School in eastern Idaho.
Caroline Jennings

Caroline joins the SANS Technology Institute with a background in higher education, including significant work in student involvement, leadership development, and student success programs. In her most recent role at Coker University, she developed professional and leadership development curricula for student success through student involvement, and worked on initiatives to prioritize inclusion and the first-year experience.
Caroline graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BA in English Literature and an M.Ed in Higher Education and Student Affairs. She currently resides in Hartsville, South Carolina.
Erin Sherrill

Erin brings over a decade of student-focused leadership experience in higher education to the SANS community. While working in career development roles since 2014, Erin has enjoyed assisting traditional students, non-traditional students, mid-career professionals, and military personnel in their career transitions and journeys. Before joining SANS, Erin led the Career Development Team at Oglethorpe University ensuring students received services tailored to their individual needs and goals. In addition to career development, Erin has also served students in various other parts of their college experience including housing and dining, marketing, student affairs, student health services, student employment and registrar.
While obtaining her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Northern Illinois University, Erin focused specifically on career counseling. Erin also holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Anthropology from the University of Miami. Erin currently resides in Atlanta, GA and enjoys photography, road trips and having new experiences with her husband, two children, and pup, Tacoma.
Bridget O'Hanlon

Bridget has more than 10 years of experience in Higher Education, with a background in working with student veterans. After graduate school, Bridget saw an opportunity to use her own GI Bill experience to serve the student Veterans at The University of Akron, and then continued that work at Cuyahoga Community College, before joining the STI team. Bridget grew up in the military, and also served in the 122nd Army band for 12 years; part of her duties included serving as the unit's Education Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO). Bridget resides in the Cleveland, Ohio area with her spouse and their daughter.

Lori Cole

As the Research Proposal Coordinator for the SANS Technology Institute, Lori works with students in the master's program as they prepare their research projects and ensures that their proposals are of the highest quality and cover topics relevant to the industry at large. Lori is Senior Vice President and Global Cyber Investigations Program for Citi, where she is responsible for the global governance of the Cyber Investigative Response Team (CIRT) and Cyber Analysis Unit (CIAU) within Citi's Security and Investigations Services (CSIS). Lori earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Chaminade University of Honolulu, as well as a Master of Science in Data Analytics, Data Science from University of Maryland Global Campus.

Krysta Kurzynski

Krysta brings over 12 years of experience in higher education leadership and operations to the SANS Technology Institute. In her role as Director of College Operations, she has broad responsibility for daily operations including process improvement, implementing new initiatives, and managing a variety of system resources across the entire college.
Since joining SANS.edu in 2016, Krysta has played a key role in building student advising and operational processes, improving the student experience, as well as growing the advising team. Prior to joining SANS Technology Institute, Krysta served as the Assistant Director of Veteran Affairs at John Carroll University.

Ryan graduated with a BA in Psychology from Holy Family University and a MS in Education from Neumann University. He has worked in higher education since 2013. He has held positions in Residence Life, Housing Services and Academic Advising. He enjoys being able to work directly with students to assist them in achieving their goals. Ryan lives in Philadelphia, PA with his wife, Sam. They have a daughter, Kerry and a dog, Guinness. Ryan enjoys playing music, cheering on all Philadelphia sports teams and reading about military history.
Matthew Benko

Matthew is an experienced higher education professional well versed in coordinating services in academic evaluation, counseling, financial services, and VA & DOD education benefits. Matt's skills and experiences are supported by specialized technical and tactical military training and 22 years of military service. He earned a bachelor of art in philosophy and business management from Moravian College and a master of science in counseling from West Chester University. Matt currently serves in the U.S. Air Force-Air National Guard as a C-130 Loadmaster/Evaluator. He resides in Pennsylvania with his wife, two sons, and two dogs, and hosts a podcast, The Veteran Power Hour.
Maureen Newman

Maureen brings 12 years of experience managing records, data, and systems in a higher education setting. Prior to joining the SANS Technology Institute, Maureen spent eight years at Rutgers’ School of Communication and Information as Information Systems Manager and four years, in several capacities, at Golden Gate University. She has served as database administrator at two non-profit organizations and has worked on several freelance projects in web design, data architecture, and application development capacities. She is a Part-Time Lecturer at Rutgers University where she has taught courses on Data Visualization, Retrieving and Evaluating Electronic Information, and Digital Library Technology.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The Ohio State University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Rutgers University. Maureen is a Salesforce Certified Administrator and holds certificates in Data Science, Data Analysis, Web Development, Business Communication, and Online Teaching. Maureen lives in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley region and enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, traveling, and attending concerts.
