Students: Capstone Exam (GSE/GSM)

GSE

MSISE candidates are required to pass the GIAC GSE exam. The GSE exam consists of a proctored multiple choice exam and a 2-day hands on lab.

In general, students must hold the GSEC, GCIH, GCIA and have two Gold certifications to qualify to sit for the exam. More information on regarding GSE exam can be found at http://www.giac.org/certification/security-expert-gse

GSM

MSISM candidates are required to pass the GSM, an exam created by the SANS Technology Institute faculty and administered by GIAC. This exam is exclusive to students in the graduate program and not offered as a GIAC certification.

Students must hold GSLC, GCPM, GCIH, and GSNA certifications to qualify to sit for the exam.
