After completing a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology from Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Ritu Gill became interested in analytical and research work.
Her pursuit of continual learning aligns with SANS’ focus on offering the best cybersecurity-related training in the world, and she aspires to not only deliver that world-class training but also to be around like-minded instructors and industry experts.
As a SANS Instructor of SEC497: Practical Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT), Ritu aims to deliver relevant examples, while engaging students in the different ways OSINT can be utilized. “Connecting the dots” is rewarding and Ritu enjoys sharing her knowledge and experiences with her students. Ritu knows the importance of keeping an open mind and being curious and is known to challenge her students to apply critical thinking often while remaining tenacious.
Ritu’s many experiences include being asked by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) to teach investigators both locally and internationally in Bangladesh and India, on the topic of how to use the internet as an investigative tool.
When she’s not OSINTing, Ritu enjoys the outdoors, running and yoga.
Ritu is a member of OSINT Curious Advisory Board https://osintcurio.us/about-our-project/ and her website is https://www.osinttechniques.com/
