Prior to joining One eSecurity, Carlos worked as Operations & Security Manager (OPSEC) of the Supercomputing Center of Catalonia (CSUC), a remarkable High-Performance Computing facility, and also as Incident Response Manager of the Information Security Center of Catalonia (CESICAT-CERT) supervising monitoring strategies from its Security Operations Center (SOC), leading Digital Investigations IR & Forensics, and acting as liason for several LEA agencies (Mossos d'Esquadra, Guardia Civil and Policia Nacional). He worked on the development of best common practices (such as CNI/CCN-CERT STIC), security training and intelligence sharing in several workgroups and international communities such as FIRST, TF-CSIRT, CSIRT.ES, ENISA.
Carlos holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) and a master degree in Telecommunications from Universitat Ramon Llull (LaSalle). He is a frequent instructor and speaker of cybersecurity topics at several international conferences and holds several GIAC certifications and is a member of its Advisory Board.
