How It Works
Step 1. Start by earning credits through any accredited community college, 4-year college or university — or Sophia Learning, CLEP, or AP.
Transfer Credit Requirements: You'll need to bring in 70 transferrable college credits from accredited institutions or approved alternative credit sources, including Sophia Learning, CLEP, and Advanced Placement (AP). Learn more about the transfer credit process.
Maryland General Education Requirements
You are not required to bring in specific “major” courses into the bachelor's program, but 31 of the 70 credits you earn outside of SANS.edu must meet these Maryland General Education Requirements.

Step 2. Complete your studies at the SANS Technology Institute.
Continue your studies (50 credits) and earn your bachelor’s degree in applied cybersecurity from SANS.edu.
