Tuition By Program

  •     Master's Degree Programs

In the master's degree program, tuition is set according to the credit hours assigned to each course or experience. The cost per credit hour is currently $1,250. Therefore, charges for individual courses in the program vary. Tuition includes the cost of certification tests that serve as mid-term or final exams for graduate courses.

Because each master's program is comprised of courses requiring a cumulative 36 credit hours, the program will cost approximately $15,000 per year for three years, or $47,000 to complete. The cost of travel and lodging is in addition to the cost of tuition. Additional fees may also apply (e.g. application fees, exam retake fees).

Total tuition will be reduced by the full amount associated with any SANS course or GIAC certification that the student has already completed, up to the total amount allowed. See waivers.

  •     Graduate Certificate Programs

In the graduate certificate programs, tuition is set at a flat rate of $5,000 per course, of the credit hours earned for that course. Tuition includes the cost of certification tests that serve as mid-term or final exams for graduate courses. In total, a graduate certificate program is $15,000 to $20,000 over two years.

Total tuition will be reduced by the full amount associated with any SANS course or GIAC certification that the student has already completed, up to the total amount allowed. See waivers.

  •     Single Courses / Non-degree Seeking Students

An individual may take up to two courses as a non-degree seeking student prior to enrolling in a formal course of studies. Tuition for a single course is $5,250, regardless of the credit hours earned for that course.

  •     Additional Fees

Several fees may apply. Both the master's degree and graduate certificate programs require a non-refundable application fee. There is no fee to apply as a non-degree seeking student.

    Master's Degree Application Fee: $100
    Graduate Certificate Application Fee: $35

In the event of an exam failure, a student may be required to pay an exam retake fee. There are no other book or library fees.
