The SANS Technology Institute (SANS.edu) offers regionally accredited undergraduate and graduate cybersecurity programs that are eligible for the VISA Tuition Assistance Program. STEP 1: Consider the available enrollment options:

$5,700 per year minimum, $22,800 to $29,250 program total. Includes the cost of the course, textbooks, and certification tests.
Bachelor's of Applied Cybersecurity (BACS)Students who have completed an associate's degree, traditional students as career starters or mid-career professionals who want to transition into cybersecurity.$41,750 total for the SANS.edu portion of the program, includes the cost of the course, textbooks, and certification tests.
Undergraduate Certificate in Applied Cybersecurity (ACS)Students who have completed at least two years of college and are about to finish an associate degree, are in a 4-year college program, or are mid-career professionals who want to transition into cybersecurity.$18,600 program total, includes the cost of the course, textbooks, and certification tests.
Individual Courses as a Non-degree Seeking StudentStudents seeking to take a single course through the college. Limited to taking 2 courses this way before required to enroll in a degree program.

STEP 2: Get pre-approval from your manager and apply through your tuition assistance program.

Application Deadlines

SANS.edu accepts students throughout the year to provide maximum flexibility. You’ll receive an admissions decision a month after you apply. You can start your program a month after being admitted.

Master’s Degree: February 1, May 1, August 1, November 1

Bachelor’s Degree and All Certificate Programs: The 15th of any month


Note: if you intend to take an in-person course, we require students to apply 90 days before the start of the in-person event, to allow for time to get registered at a live event.

STEP 4: Confirm your admission. Complete New Student Orientation.

Students are notified of admissions decisions by email. If admitted, you will be prompted to accept your offer of admission and instructed to register for and participate in New Student Orientation, which begins the first of every month.

    STEP 5: Register and pay for your course.

     

    Following New Student Orientation, you will be meet with your dedicated student advisor and receive registration instructions for beginning your first course. You must register through the SANS.edu website to be eligible for tuition reimbursement. Students taking a single course will receive a registration code to reduce the standard single course tuition amount ($6,500) to the special Visa rate ($5,250). Please note: SANS.edu students are required to have completed the registration process at least 7 days prior to their course start date.


     

    STEP 6: Complete your course.

    After you have successfully completed your course, we will send you a grade report that includes your grade and tuition paid. This grade report can be used to submit for reimbursement.

    Important Notes Regarding Enrollment with SANS.edu

      • The SANS Technology Institute (www.sans.edu) is a regionally accredited educational institution and our courses are eligible for tuition reimbursement, while SANS Institute (www.sans.org) training classes are not eligible.
      • Your registration and payment should be made at least 7 days prior to your preferred course term start date in order to allow time for processing and mailing of textbooks.
      • Students must pass the associated GIAC exam within the specified course timeline in order to pass the class. If the student does not pass the exam on his/her first attempt, they will need to purchase a re-take exam out of pocket.
