Complete the program online, through live weeklong events held throughout the country, or in combination and finish in 18 months. Or choose an accelerated 7-month option that's entirely online.

The undergraduate certificate program in Applied Cybersecurity provides a rapid pathway to an in-demand career, whether you're about to finish your associate degree, you're in a 4-year college program, or you're a mid-career professional who wants to transition into cyber security.

Minimum Program Requirements

  • You don't need prior cyber security experience, but you must have completed at least 48 college credits from a recognized college or university, or obtained the equivalent international education, with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.80.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old (or will be at the time of enrollment)

To apply for admission to the SANS undergraduate certificate program, please follow the steps below:

  1. Determine that you meet the minimum program requirements listed above. If you are unsure, please contact us to determine if our program will be a good fit.
  2. Apply Now! Submit a complete application, including:
    • Application Form
    • Résumé (optional)
    • Official Transcripts
    • Aptitude Assessment
    • Application Fee

Steps to Enrollment

If admitted, you will receive a formal Offer of Admission and asked to confirm your enrollment in the SANS Technology Institute. You will also receive instructions for how to access the mandatory New Student Orientation.

Only after you complete orientation, will you be able to register for your first class.
