Cybersecurity Leadership by Mansur Hasib

Mansur has a unique perspective since he has served as a CIO. If you are a newly appointed CIO/CISO, or if you are looking for those jobs, this is a book worth reading. It is well researched, a lot of personal experience and is a pretty quick read at 165 pages. It is not focused on today's hot topics, there are two pages on BYOD, virtually nothing on cloud or IoT. I do not mean that as criticism, just to help manage perspectives, and anything any of us write on those topics will be out of date in six weeks. I do have a complaint, it needs an index. I learned a long time ago to be selective about the books that I keep at arms reach, they have changed over time as I went from programming, to network design, cybersecurity to management and now, academia, but they all have something in common, they serve as a reference and that requires an index.
