Vision Statement
SANS Technology Institute aspires to be the preeminent graduate institution translating contemporary information security practice and scholarship into effective educational experiences that enable our graduates to design state-of-the-art, enterprise-level information security programs, to champion the adoption of those programs and to manage their implementation and ongoing operation.
Institutional Goals
- To help enable private and public sector enterprises of the United States and its allies preserve social order and protect economic and military capabilities in the face of cyber attacks.
- To provide the national defense establishment, other government agencies, critical industries, and other institutions with information security engineers and leaders who have the most current and most critical knowledge and skills needed to respond effectively to the evolving threat of cyber attacks.
- To perform leading-edge research that continually identifies current best practice and enhances the state of the art in the practice of information security.
